Here I go

I was one of those proud bloggers with never say die attitude about blogging the last year and even joined the blog365 challenge(blogging for 365 days this year) with full confidence! Well, I made it for the first three months and here I am, blogging just once in a week!

Blogging was an interesting platform to meet people and people who were not just trying to make their blog a hit, but who did also share wonderful insights. Thanks for all the love and support showered via blogger, I did have an interesting time out here. Many comments from my beloved readers did touch my heart deep.

This isn't a sort of farewell message (I haven't met anyone still!), but my new job is keeping me in 'the flow'( I love the job) and henceforth, my blogging has to be sacrificed temporarily. After a long gap of not blogging, it will be really hard to blog again (I guess!)

On the plus side, I'll post if I get any interesting information or facts :)

Blogger does get quirky and my last year April fool's day

Hope this isn't some sort of April fool's joke, but blogger is not allowing me to upload pictures in my post(for unknown reasons). Probably it is my internet connection or something else weird (I'm lazy to figure out what it is) and hence my WWC post for this week is ruined.

I'll be around checking other WWC's and April fool's day jokes and pranks! One of the post which really caught me is form Ammar's blog!

I remember last year's April fool's day (my final year in college), a friend of mine sent an SMS to me stating that my room is on fire! Ironically, I did leave the iron box in my room on and totally forgot about it. In panic(thinking it is for real), I ran to my room only to find him rolling and laughing. How badly I was duped!(thankfully, the iron box was off but I forgot about it)

Six thinking hats

Did you know that the key to a best discussion is to avoid argument, even though the other person(s) are talking rubbish? This book tells us that avoiding argument is essential is minimizing a meeting effectively, be it personal or business. Lot of time is wasted espically in business meetings on coming to a conclusion and obviously, argument is what causes a relationship to tank up for real where the real intent of that person is make his/her points clear.

Photobucket
Six thinking hats is written by Edward De Bono and it categorizes thinking into different color hats. If I say anymore beyond this, the book will not be interesting! This is an interesting book for those who have a lot to say and say it in frustration, leading to arguments.

"It is costly"

Photobucket

This was the words of the client whom I referred(which isn't my job, but did it out of enthusiasm). I did feel a lil bad about it, but it gave me a thought that he didn't do his homework before he planned on the dealing. Obviously, (for eg)if I'm planning to buy a car I don't jump in and get a corvette just because it looks nice and fancy. I first see whether I'm able to afford it or not.

Anyway, this also lead me into another thought(I might come across similar clients in near future) that I can persuade him by telling that the service is top notch(which is my job), and support is available when needed during the working hours and the benefits which comes along.

On the brighter side it didn't matter much to the company that a client is rejecting a deal since they are focussed on prospective customers(thankfully). Still, I did learn what to do when people say "it is costly"-show them what they are missing!

7 deadly punishments

The seven deadly sins is something which everyone is aware about and there is an interesting quiz in tickle website that evaluates which of the seven sins is most prominent in you (click here to take the quiz)

What caught me was the legendary punishment for the seven deadly sins. They are as follows;

The prideful person was broken on the wheel.

The greedy person was soaked in boiling oil.

The slothful person was thrown into a pit of snakes.

The lustful person was smothered in fire and brimstone.

The wrathful person was dismembered alive.

The gluttonous person was force-fed rats, toads, and snakes.

The envious person was put in freezing water.

Scary, isn't it?!? Thankfully, the antidotes for the seven deadly sins are provided in the report provided immediately after you take that quiz(you'll have to register to get that report) and I'll just mention the antidotes in brief. Do take that quiz to know which of those sins is gripping you and how to handle with the other sins :)

Antidote for pride is humility

Antidote for lust is temperament

Antidote for Greed is generosity

Antidote for Wrath is forgiveness

Antidote for Gluttony is restraint

Antidote for Envy is gratitude

Antidote of Sloth is enthusiasm

This isn't some kind of a warning, don't get me wrong and start hating my blog :( Everyone of us suffer from one or more(mine is pride, surprisingly!) of the sins (due to various reasons) and in that process we are hurting yourselves, and not any one. It will be great if we are aware of them and gradually get rid of our sins :)

Simplicity at its best

How many times have we tried to be simple and just but complicated it more in that process? Simplicity is in fact the ultimate sophistication! Well, this the phrase found in Zack Dome's blog. Zack isn't a new name(remember the blog reviews many of you people loved?) and it is time for us to review his blog :)

This is one of the blog which I like for it's authenticity and great insights. Some of the best posts are
'Quit complaining. No seriously, stop!', 'Are you bored?', 'High Five' and a lot more. The design is absolutely fantastic. Do check out this blog if you haven't
